Lauren Rahier, an NDSU student double majoring in criminal justice and psychology, presented research at the 2024 American Society of Criminology conference in San Francisco on Nov. 13.
Her presentation featured a study that examined the relationships between measures drawn from Self Determination theory and officers’ acceptance of body worn cameras. The study also assessed changes in officers' perceptions of body worn cameras after using this technology for one year.
This research project is led by Carol A. Archbold, Challey Institute for Global Innovation & Growth Faculty Fellow, Walter & Verna Gehrts Endowed Professor, in the Department of Criminal Justice.
