NDSU suicide prevention week events set

SHARE

NDSU’s Counseling Center and the President’s Council for Campus Well-being are hosting Bison Strong: Suicide Prevention Week on Sept. 22 through Sept. 27.

A variety of events are planned throughout the week to increase mental health awareness through a variety of workshops, training sessions and events highlighting resources available on campus.

“At NDSU, we are committed to understanding and preventing suicide by fostering a caring campus community,” said Betsy Carter, assistant director and coordinator of clinical services in the NDSU Counseling Center. “Bison Strong: Suicide Prevention Week is an opportunity to educate ourselves about the signs of mental health struggles, learn how to offer support and become aware of resources. We hope that faculty, staff and students participate in events and discussions, so that we can continue to cultivate a compassionate and informed environment that prioritizes mental well-being.”
