The state of North Dakota is participating in a new child care matching benefit program for qualifying parents.
The Working Parents Child Care Relief program strives to help parents afford quality licensed child care for infants and toddlers. The purpose of this new benefit is to assist parents who need child care, but may be experiencing challenges due to the high cost of infant and toddler care. This cost-sharing pilot program focuses on families with young children (birth through 36 months).
Under the program, costs of child care will be shared between the state, North Dakota Health & Human Services and parents. The state has opted in the program and received a special employer code, ER-0001038, which parents can use to see if they qualify. If they do, the state will then provide childcare benefits and the program will match the benefits amount (up to $300 per eligible child, per month).

All questions should be directed to North Dakota Health & Human Services by calling 701-328-2115. All aspects of this program including the application process, eligibility, and payments are administered by North Dakota Health & Human Services, not NDSU.
