The Hispanic Organization for Latin Americans recently hosted the third annual Tri-college Alliance of Latinos Conference at NDSU.
This year’s theme was “Hope Unites Us, Strength Defines Us.” The conference attracted over 100 attendees and featured four esteemed guest speakers, two breakout sessions and vibrant cultural performances.
Topics surrounding financial wellness, immigrant rights, Latino history in regional agriculture, highlighted the importance of education, empowerment, networking and community-building. Additionally, attendees enjoyed authentic Latin American cuisine, to further the cultural experience.
The TAL conference was made possible by student organizations; Latinx Organization for Achievement at Concordia College, the Hispanic Organization of Latin Americans at NDSU and various non-profits, community leaders and the support of multiple offices from Concordia College, Minnesota State University Moorhead and NDSU.
