The Compass Program Foundation has announced three brown bag presentations for November.
“How to really use LinkedIn,” presented by John Hill is scheduled for Wednesday, Nov. 6, at 11:45 a.m. in the Memorial Union Hidatsa room. Hill, who is called LinkedIn’s higher education evangelist, will discuss how social media and online tools increasingly are being relied on by job seekers to search for opportunities He will present to the newest features of LinkedIn and how best to initiate, leverage and maximize professional connections. Ron Spriggs, oral historian and eight-year U.S. Air Force veteran, is scheduled to present a Veteran’s Day event Tuesday, Nov. 12, at noon in the Memorial Union Century Theatre. Spriggs will highlight the legacy of the Tuskegee Airmen, a group of determined young men who enlisted to become America’s first black military airmen and overcame segregation during the defeat of the Axis Powers of World War II. The event is co-sponsored by the Equity and Diversity Center, Memorial Union and Compass Program Foundation.
