Casey Peterson has been selected as the director of NDSU’s Student Success Programs. Peterson will begin his new duties Thursday, Jan. 2, 2014.
Peterson is the associate director of Residence Life staffing at NDSU, where he supervises 12 full-time professional hall directors and leads educational training for 110 student staff members.
During 2004-09, Peterson worked in the Student Success Programs office, where he was integral in the development of the athletic academics program and the growth of the Academic Collegiate Enhancement, known as ACE, tutoring program.
He has more than 16 years of student affairs experience, including various roles in Residence Life, Orientation and Student Success and Office of Admission.
“Casey brings a wealth of experience to the role of director of Student Success Programs,” said Laura Oster-Aaland, interim assistant dean for enrollment management and current director of Student Success Programs. “His commitment to student learning, ability to conceptualize and build new programs and strong leadership skills will help him successfully guide the department into the future.”
Peterson holds a Master of Education in educational leadership from NDSU and a Bachelor of Music from Lawrence University.
