The NDSU Development Foundation and Alumni Association have been notified they will receive several institutional awards during the upcoming District VI conference of the Council for the Advancement and Support of Education, known as CASE. The awards reception is scheduled for Monday, Jan. 13, 2014, in Kansas City, Mo.

NDSU’s honors include two Gold Awards in the fundraising program category; one for stewardship for Bison Bidders Bowl 2012 and the other in collaborative programs for the Power of One Faculty/Staff Campaign.

Two Silver Awards were earned in the alumni relations programs; one in regular alumni programs for Harvest Bowl 2012, which celebrates agriculture and athletics, and the other in collaborative programs for the NDSU School of Music Inaugural Concert Tour, including the gala concert at the Ordway Center in St. Paul, Minn.

In addition, two Bronze Awards will be presented in the alumni relation programs category; one in volunteer engagement and leadership for the annual Bison Bidders Bowl and the other in marketing and branding for the NDSU football championship Pep Fest in Frisco, Texas.

“The CASE awards are external recognition by our peers around the district, and in competition with the likes of the University of Nebraska, University of Missouri, Kansas State and the University of Colorado,” said Doug Mayo, president and CEO of the NDSU Development Foundation and Alumni Association. “We can be proud of this recognition. Everyone plays a role in advancing NDSU, and these awards confirm that we do that very well.”

Universities and colleges in CASE District VI submitted a total of 575 entries for the institutional awards competition. The district includes institutions in Colorado, Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota and Wyoming.

NDSU is recognized as one of the nation's top 108 public and private universities by the Carnegie Commission on Higher Education.
