A new Tri-College University career seminar is looking to jumpstart student job-hunting success.
The NDSU, Concordia College and Minnesota State University Moorhead Career Centers are scheduled to host Career X Saturday Success Summit on Feb. 1 from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at NDSU’s Memorial Union Prairie Rose room.
“It’s really a job-preparation seminar,” said Jill Wilkey, NDSU Career Center director. “Employers will be telling students what they are looking for in an employee. We are very excited for this first-time event.”
Each school is allowed only 25 students for the free event. Students can register at www.ndsu.edu/career.
NDSU graduate and Fargo realtor Erik Hatch will serve as the event’s keynote speaker. Hatch’s lecture will highlight networking and how to best tell your story to land a job.
Representatives from participating local businesses will lead a series of breakout sessions. The event culminates with an etiquette lunch.
NDSU is recognized as one of the nation’s top 108 public and private universities by the Carnegie Commission on Higher Education.
