NDSU students can get a full version of Microsoft Office software for free through Microsoft’s Student Advantage program.
The program provides access to Office 365 ProPlus, a full version of Office that includes Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook and more. Students enrolled for one or more credits at NDSU are able to install the software on up to five computers.
The software has the same features and functions as other versions of Office and can be used offline; however, students must connect to the Internet once every 30 days to verify they are still eligible for the program.
Instructions on how to get the free software are available at www.ndsu.edu/its/microsoft-student-advantage.
The Student Advantage program is being offered through the Office 365 student email and calendar system, provided by the North Dakota University System in partnership with Microsoft.
Students should contact the NDSU IT Help Desk at 701-231-8685 (option 1) or ndsu.helpdesk@ndsu.edu if they have questions or need assistance.
NDSU is recognized as one of the nation's top 108 public and private universities by the Carnegie Commission on Higher Education.
