The general public has the chance to get a sneak peek at and vote for their favorite innovative NDSU student projects leading up to Innovation Week ’14. Student teams will unveil their projects at a poster showcase scheduled for Tuesday, Jan. 28, from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. in the Memorial Union Plains room.
The event is free and open to the public. Light refreshments will be available.
Attendees can judge projects and vote for the People’s Choice Award, which will be announced at the Innovation Week ’14 awards ceremony Thursday, March 6. The Jan. 28 event, hosted by the NDSU Office of the Provost and the NDSU Research and Technology Park, also will determine which teams move on to the finals of the competition.
The fifth annual Innovation Week, scheduled for March 3-7, showcases and encourages student ingenuity. The third annual Innovation Challenge competition is open to all NDSU undergraduate and graduate students. A total of $20,000 will be awarded to students with the most innovative ideas.
