NDSU Staff Senate is sponsoring a Discover U session titled “How to be Indispensable at Work.” The event is scheduled Thursday, Feb. 20, with registration beginning at 7:45 a.m., a presentation from 8:30 a.m.to 11:45 a.m. and lunch from noon to 1 p.m. in the Memorial Union Plains Ballroom. The cost is $20 and the registration deadline is Feb. 14.
Steve Winfrey, director of the Memorial Union, and Matt Skoy, director of student activities in the Memorial Union, will present an interactive workshop focused on several new personal development concepts designed to increase an individual’s “power-mindset” and enhance confidence. They will show attendees how to use these skills to become “indispensable at work.” The workshop also will include tips and strategies to better work with students.
