Extension specialist to discuss farm bill at annual agriculture meeting

The Northwest Farm Managers Association is scheduled to host its 105th annual meeting for producers and others interested in agriculture on Feb. 5 at the Holliday Inn in Fargo.

Presentations will focus on the grain market outlook and pricing strategies, farm transition planning, big-picture outlook for the agricultural industry, U.S. farm policy, managing your land base and the potential of African agriculture.

Dwight Aakre, NDSU Extension Service farm management specialist, will provide an update on the status and provisions of the farm bill under discussion in Congress, or provide comments and analysis if the legislation is passed by Feb. 5.

The meeting is open to the public. Registration begins at 8 a.m. and the meeting starts at 9 a.m. The fee to attend is $50. A meal is included in the registration fee.
