The 20 finalists in Innovation Challenge ’14 are scheduled to each give 10-minute oral presentations to an independent panel of judges on March 5.
The presentations and judging are slated for 8:30 a.m. to approximately 2:15 p.m. at the Memorial Union Rose room and Hidatsa room.
Winners will be announced March 6 at the Innovation Week ’14 awards ceremony and keynote speaker event. The 5 p.m. event will begin with a social followed by a program at 5:30 p.m.
Innovation Week is an annual event hosted by the NDSU Office of the Provost and the NDSU Research and Technology Park that showcases and encourages students’ innovative work.
The week includes the culmination of a year-long student innovation competition, educational sessions and networking opportunities. The events are free and open to all NDSU students faculty, staff and the public.
The highlight of the week is the third annual Innovation Challenge. Judges award the top innovation in each of three categories $5,000. A total of $20,000 will be awarded to winning teams.
