Retirement open house planned for nanoscale center interim director

A retirement open house in honor of Mark Lande, interim director of the Center for Nanoscale Science and Engineering, known as CNSE, is scheduled for Friday, May 2, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. in the atrium of Research 2 in the NDSU Research and Technology Park.

Lande was named interim director in December 2011, after serving as assistant director for administrative and financial services. His responsibilities included administrative operations and managing the financial and administrative aspects of the center’s research programs. He joined CNSE in 2004 as a finance specialist.

Prior to coming to NDSU, Lande was controller for Prairie Public Broadcasting Inc. for 20 years. He earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees in accounting at the University of North Dakota and is a certified public accountant.

NDSU is recognized as one of the nation's top 108 public and private universities by the Carnegie Commission on Higher Education.
