A solo exhibition of visiting artist Eva Isaksen’s work is scheduled for June 17 to July 25 at the Memorial Union Gallery.
The exhibition, titled “Eva Isaksen: The Printed Collage,” features Isaksen’s delicately layered prints on paper and canvas. An opening reception is slated for noon to 1 p.m. on Wednesday, June 18, in the gallery.
Favoring experimentation and low-tech processes, Isaksen incorporates organic material and content into her ephemeral and richly layered pieces.
She has for 28 years lived and worked full time as an artist in Seattle.
Isaksen was featured last year in CityArts Magazine and in 2011 was awarded the Artist Trust Fellowship.
She is the summer 2014 Printmaking Education and Research Studio visiting artist and printmaker, and sponsored by the NDSU Department of Visual Arts.
