NDSU softball pitcher Krista Menke and designated player Jackie Stifter were named to Summit League All-Academic team. The team was voted on by faculty athletics representatives and sports information directors.
Menke, a junior from Friend, Nebraska, earned the honor for the second straight season. She maintains a 3.605 grade-point average majoring in exercise science and physiology.
Stifter, a sophomore from Winsted, Minnesota, has a 3.864 grade-point average with a major in social studies education and public history.
To be eligible for the Summit League Academic All-League team, a student-athlete must have a cumulative grade-point average of at least 3.30, completed at least one full academic year at the current institution and participated in 50 percent of their team's competitions.
NDSU is recognized as one of the nation's top 108 public and private universities by the Carnegie Commission on Higher Education.
