The NDSU Career Center recently hired Kate Nelson as a career specialist – alumni. She completed her master’s degree in counseling education at NDSU.
In her position, Nelson assists recent alumni and upper-level students with resume, interviewing and job search strategies. She will establish career-related programming for alumni and recruit employers to post positions for alumni. She also is a Career Center liaison for the College of Science and Mathematics and the College of University Studies.
Originally from Fargo, Nelson graduated from Fargo’s South High School and completed her undergraduate education at Carroll College in Helena, Montana. With a passion for student affairs, Nelson said she is looking forward to working with students to ensure they are successful in college and after they leave NDSU.
In her spare time, Nelson enjoys running an occasional half marathon and spending time at the lakes during the summer.
