Tom Ambrosio, professor of political science, was recently invited by the Norwegian Institute of International Affairs to speak at its annual conference on Russia in Oslo, Norway, in December.
Ambrosio is one of about a half-dozen international experts who will deliver lectures at the conference. His presentation will focus on the relationship between Russia and the non-Western world.
His travel expenses and accommodations will be funded by the institute.
Ambrosio joined the NDSU faculty in 2000. He earned his bachelor’s degree from the College of New Jersey, and his master’s degree and doctorate in foreign affairs at the University of Virginia.
His honors include the 2011 NDSU College of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences Outstanding Educator Award, the college’s 2007 Outstanding Research Award and the Blue Key Distinguished Educator Award.
NDSU is recognized as one of the nation's top 108 public and private universities by the Carnegie Commission on Higher Education.
