NDSU graduate student Eryn Jager recently was appointed vice president for students of Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society—the nation’s oldest and most selective collegiate honor society for all academic disciplines. The appointment was made during the society’s 2014 biennial convention in St. Louis, Missouri, Aug. 7-9.

Jager will be a voting member of the society’s board of directors and work to engage and enhance the student experience for Phi Kappa Phi’s members. She will serve a two-year term.

“My goal is to continue to bridge the gap between different chapters and students, so that we may all become a united front that will encourage others to work together and continue to let the love of learning rule humanity,” said Jager.

Jager served on the society’s national Council of Students during the 2012-14 biennium as a representative for the North Central region. The Council of Students is comprised of 10 student vice presidents from across the nation and serves as a student advisory panel and liaison with the board of directors.

Jager earned bachelor’s degrees in psychology and criminal justice from NDSU. She is now pursuing her master’s degree in gerontology.

NDSU is recognized as one of the nation’s top 108 public and private universities by the Carnegie Commission on Higher Education.
