On the first full day of fall classes, NDSU is reporting the third-highest enrollment in university history for first-year degree-seeking students. It is the ninth consecutive year first-day enrollment has increased.
Enrollment for first-year students is 2,494. The number of undergraduates who transferred to NDSU also increased by nearly 14 percent.
Students continue to register for classes. The official total enrollment count is taken four weeks into the semester and will be available on Sept. 23.
NDSU is recognized as one of the nation’s top 108 public and private universities by the Carnegie Commission on Higher Education.
