Four NDSU representatives are scheduled to present on “Engaging New Student Veterans with an Old Organization” during the National Academic Advising Association’s annual conference, scheduled for Oct. 8-11 in Minneapolis.
Kevin Kettner, academic adviser in College of University Studies; Kaarin Remmich, military and veterans service representative; graduate student Calie Craddock; and Noah Avon, a senior majoring in emergency management, will discuss an initiative by NDSU’s American Legion Post 400 to help address many of the issues transitioning veterans face when enrolling in college. The presentation will focus on how the organization helps student-veterans successfully transition to NDSU.
Craddock is the post commander, while Avon is vice commander.
NDSU is recognized as one of the nation's top 108 public and private universities by the Carnegie Commission on Higher Education.
