Anna Taylor has joined NDSU Carrington Research Extension Center as an animal scientist.
Her research focuses on animal nutrition, including ruminant nutrition, feedlot management and cow-calf production systems. She is continuing the center's efforts to maximize the value and use of traditional feeds and forages, alternative feed grains, crop coproducts and crop residues.
Taylor earned a bachelor's degree in animal science, a master's in reproductive physiology and a doctorate in ruminant nutrition and meat science, all from South Dakota State University. After earning her doctorate in 2013, she became a post-doctoral assistant in ruminant nutrition at SDSU.
"Anna has a solid background that has prepared her well to continue the CREC's focus on beef animal nutrition and is a native of Mandan, N.D., so we are excited to welcome her back to her home state," center director Blaine Schatz says.
As a student-focused, land-grant, research university, we serve our citizens.
