The first annual Marketing and Sales Hiring Fair is scheduled for Wednesday, April 8, from 10 a.m. to noon in the Richard H. Barry Hall Atrium. The event is sponsored by the NDSU Career Center and the Center for Professional Selling and Sales Technology.
“We’re excited to bring a great group of businesses into Barry Hall to interact with our marketing students,” said Mike Krush, assistant professor of marketing and director of the Center for Professional Selling and Sales Technology.
The fair is expected to feature up to 25 employers that are looking to hire entry-level marketing or sales personnel or have internships available in sales or marketing. The firms must operate in the business-to-business environment, that is, those firms that transact business with other firms, such as manufacturers and wholesalers or a wholesale company to a distribution partner.
According to Krush, the inaugural fair is a great opportunity for marketing and business students. “One of our major goals is to find unique ways for student-business community interactions," he said. "The fair provides an ideal way for students and firms to learn about one another and begin creating relationships.”
