The sixth annual Green and Golden Globe Diversity Awards Ceremony is scheduled for Thursday, April 30, in the Memorial Union Great Plains Ballroom. A reception to honor award winners is set to begin at 3 p.m., with the awards program at 3:30 p.m.
The NDSU Division of Equity, Diversity and Global Outreach created the awards to acknowledge the efforts of faculty, staff, students and community members who create a welcoming, safe and inclusive environment where all people can learn and work.
2015 Green and Golden Globe Diversity awardees are:
• James Clifton, assistant professor of accounting practice
• Anna Sheppard, assistant director, TRIO/McNair Scholars
• Samuel Ogunyemi, NDSU senior majoring in mechanical engineering
• NDSU Women's Activist Organization
• Churches United, Moorhead, Minnesota
Vice President's Green and Golden Globe Diversity Award:
• John Klai, BS '78, architecture
Diversity Impact Award:
• Erika Berg, assistant professor of equine studies
