NDSU employees were honored for years of service and excellence on the job during the 27th annual Employee Recognition Social on April 6.
A total of 222 employees with five, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35 and 40 years of service, along with 32 retirees, were recognized.
Wendy McCrory, president of Staff Senate, presented recognition awards. Receiving awards in the professional band were Megan Ehora, admission counselor and multicultural recruitment coordinator; Judith Henry Huber, production manager in the Division of Performing Arts; Aida Martinez-Freeman, assistant TRIO director and Student Support Services director; and Regina Ranney, diversity program coordinator. Jeffrey Erickson, electrical equipment technician in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, and Christine LaVallie, Extension nutrition education assistant, were honored in the technical band.
Judy Erickson, campus visit coordinator, and Judith Moe, administrative assistant in the Department of Agribusiness and Applied Economics, were recognized from the office support band. Mary Power, BOH supervisor in dining services, and Doug Nowatzki, dining services equipment operations, were recognized from the services band.
The Team Award went to Kamie Beeson, Eileen Buringrud, Cora Crane, Michelle Grant, Louise Heinz, Lisa Johnson and Starr Thies of the Department of Plant Sciences.
Provost Beth Ingram gave remarks and retirees were recognized by Ingram; Bruce Bollinger, vice president for finance and administration; and Tim Alvarez, vice president for student engagement and inclusion.
Nancy Rossland, assistant to the dean, college relations in the College of Engineering, provided opening and closing comments.
