The relationship between alcohol consumption and sexual violence is often misinterpreted and sometimes leads to dangerous assumptions and victim blame.
All NDSU students, faculty and staff are invited to learn more about this relationship at the LIVE REAL Mentor: Alcohol and Sexual Violence session scheduled Wednesday, April 15, at noon in the Memorial Union Arikara Room.
Participants will learn about social norms regarding sexual behavior and alcohol, along with the impact of alcohol on victims and offenders and the role of alcohol in victim blaming.
Representatives from the NDSU Counseling Center, University Police and Sexual Assault Prevention and Advocacy will present the session.
