Four NDSU Memorial Union student employees were recognized during the Student Employee Awards ceremony held April 12.
The Memorial Union annually hosts the MUSE awards to recognize and celebrate contributions made by student employees. Peers and supervisors nominate students who demonstrate superior commitment and contributions.
Honorees included:
• Josh Theis, a senior in management communication from Andover, Minnesota, was presented the Student of the Year Award.
• Jake Sells, a sophomore in social science education from Chisago City, Minnesota, received the Rising Star Award.
• Alysa Horn, a senior in landscape architecture from Champlin, Minnesota, was presented the Expert Star Award.
• Eden Sang, a senior in construction management from Coon Rapids, Minnesota, received the Dale Brostrom Outstanding Student Award.
The Brostrom award is named in memory of the first director of the NDSU Memorial Union. The honor recognizes students who demonstrate similar characteristics to those of Dale Brostrom – a strong and healthy work ethic, leadership, enthusiasm, service and competence in their Memorial Union student position.
In addition, Netha Cloeter, Memorial Union Gallery coordinator, was named Staff Member of the Year.
As a student-focused, land-grant, research university, we serve our citizens.
