The NDSU Volunteer Network and NDSU Residence Life are planning a special Halloween carnival called “Boo! at NDSU,” scheduled for Wednesday, Oct. 28, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Mathew Living Learning Center, 1435 18th St. N.

Many NDSU residence halls also will be open for trick-or-treating. A complete list of participating residence halls will be available the day of the event.

The events are free and open to the public, with Halloween activities geared toward children ages 12 and younger. Costumes are encouraged, and children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

For the second year, NDSU student organizations will host booths at the carnival in the Mathew Living Learning Center. Children can play games, make crafts and enjoy other Halloween-themed activities.

"This is a great opportunity for families to come have some Halloween fun in a safe environment and interact with NDSU students," said Hailey Goplen, NDSU assistant director for service-learning and civic engagement.

Parking is available in the FA and HR lots north and east of the Mathew Living Learning Center.
