The NDSU Information Technology Division promoted Joshua Teegarden to senior help desk consultant and hired Cole Jackson as a desktop support technician.
Teegarden has been a member of the IT Help Desk team since 2008. In his new role, he will provide technology-related assistance to students, faculty and staff at NDSU’s downtown facilities. He will manage employee workstation computers and will provide support in computer labs and instrumented classrooms.
Teegarden began his career at NDSU as student employee at the IT Help Desk. He was promoted to a full-time help desk consultant position in June 2013. He earned a bachelor's degree in management information systems with a minor in computer science from NDSU.
Jackson joined the division as a desktop support technician. He will support faculty and staff in departments for which desktop support manages all computer needs, including purchasing computers, installing operating systems, software and printers, and troubleshooting software and hardware issues.
Before coming to NDSU, Jackson worked as a student employee in the North Dakota State College of Science’s IT department in Wahpeton for more than two years. He performed classroom and computer lab setups, assisted with system upgrades and worked with a team to deploy computer lab images. He earned an associate’s degree in IT support and information systems with an IT forensics certificate from NDSCS.
