NDSU Staff Senate is scheduled to host the fourth annual Holiday Shopping Extravaganza Tuesday, Nov. 17, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the Harry D. McGovern Alumni Center. Proceeds support the NDSU Staff Senate Scholarship Fund.
The vendor show will feature products from Mary Kay, Tupperware, Tyra Beauty and Origami Owl.
The silent auction will have a variety of gift baskets based on the themes of car care, pets, game night, coffee/tea, movie night, winter survival kit, banking electronics, scrapbooking and others. Auction values start at $25.
"The vendor show will feature multiple home-based businesses that will have a wide variety of goods to purchase. Our silent auction baskets could easily take care of holiday shopping lists," said Carin Engler, Staff Senator and administrative clerk in Residence Life, who is one of the organizers of the event. "This is our one big fundraiser for scholarships for the year, so please plan to attend and support student scholarships."
Light refreshments will be available and admission is free.
Engler said these businesses made donations to the silent auction: Lunde Motors, Sandy’s Donuts, YMCA of Cass/Clay Counties, Scheels, MJ Capelli, Blarney Stone Pub, Everett’s Barber Shop, Tru Green , Gate City Bank and Smiling Moose Deli.
