The North Dakota Experimental Program to Stimulate Competitive Research, known as ND EPSCoR, is calling for Doctoral Dissertation Assistantships proposals. Awardees receive support for up to 24 months to enable students to dedicate time exclusively to dissertation research. Applications are due by May 26 at noon to the ND EPSCoR office.
Applications must be written by the students with supplemental information provided by their advisers, along with endorsement from their department’s graduate program director and department chair.
The assistantships program is designed to increase the completion rate of doctoral students enrolled in the science, technology, engineering and mathematics disciplines at North Dakota’s two research-intensive universities; and to increase the number of competitive proposals submitted to the National Science Foundation.
ND EPSCoR is a federally and state funded program designed to improve the ability of university researchers to compete more effectively for federal, regional and private research grants in the sciences, engineering and mathematics.
