The NDSU Student Nurses’ Association is one of the sponsors of “National Wear Red Day,” scheduled for Friday, Feb. 6. The students will give blood pressure checks at the Memorial Union on that day from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The “Wear Red Day” event is part of the American Heart Association’s “Go Red for Women” program, a nationwide campaign to celebrate the energy, passion and power women have to band together and wipe out heart disease. According to national statistics, one in three women has cardiovascular disease, and every minute one woman dies as a result of this health threat.
