NDSU is set to celebrate International Week April 4-8 with a variety of scheduled events. Activities include:
• Study Abroad Photo Contest
Vote April 1-30 for your favorite photos by NDSU students who studied abroad this semester. Winners will be announced May 2 and will receive an NDSU Bookstore $50 gift card.
• Parade of Nations
April 4, 11 a.m., Memorial Union Plains room
Students carry flags of their home countries through the Memorial Union during this colorful event. Cake and coffee will be served after the ceremony.
• Dating Americana
April 5, 2 p.m., Memorial Union Prairie room
Learn about dating culture in the U.S. through activities and group discussion. Refreshments will be available.
• International Resident Spotlight
April 5-7, 7-8 p.m., Mathew Living Learning Center community room
Students living in the Mathew Living Learning Center will discuss their native countries and their experiences in the United States. Samples of cultural food will be available.
• Is There a Fulbright in your Future?
April 6, 12 p.m.-1:00 p.m., Memorial Union Hidatsa room
NDSU Fulbright program advisers Lisa Hauck and Alicia Kauffman will discuss the opportunities of a Fulbright experience.
• Diversi-Tea
April 7, 11:30 a.m., Memorial Union Room of Nations
During the first annual Diversi-tea, students, staff and faculty are invited to learn about the tea plant, tour the different types of tea and learn how tea relates to our diversity. Samples and treats will be served. Bring your own mug or cup.
• International Foodies
April 4-8
Visit the Union, West and Residence Dining Centers to see what international food are highlighted throughout the week.
