Hospitality students from the Restaurant Operations class are hosting four fine dining dinners. The first dinner will be Thursday, March 12, at the NDSU Alumni Center. Reservations can be made for any time beginning at 5:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m.
The dinner includes a three course meal consisting of a classic Caesar salad with freshly baked French baguette bread for an appetizer, an entrée of homemade Italian sausage pasta with a roasted tomato and artichoke sauce, and finishing with a light blueberry, raspberry and strawberry fruit tart dessert for $18.
Students will undertake all aspects of the event including preparation, cooking, serving and cleaning up. Students also planned, converted all recipes and priced the menu.
“The purpose of our event is to give NDSU hospitality students the chance to showcase the talents they have learned throughout their studies,” said Kara Wolfe, assistant professor of hospitality and tourism management. “The event will give the community as well as NDSU faculty and students a chance to enjoy a fine dining experience.”
The hospitality and tourism management program at NDSU has approximately 150 students and offers opportunities in lodging, restaurant and event management.
