Mark Matthes has accepted the position of NDSU Career Center director, according to Timothy Alvarez, vice president for student affairs. Matthes begins his new duties July 11.
“We are fortunate to have Mr. Matthes join our team as he has over 26 years of professional experience – 16 years in higher education and 10 years in business working with a variety of industries and companies ranging from entrepreneurial startups to multi-billion dollar enterprises,” Alvarez said. “Mark brings to the position significant experience in leadership, career development/preparation, supervision of professional staff and budget management. Further, he possesses an impressive understanding of NDSU and the community of Fargo.”
Most recently, he spent the past 10 years at Biola University in La Mirada, California, where he serves as director of Career Development and Success.
Matthes earned his Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Pacific Lutheran University, his Master of Arts from Biola University and Master of Business Administration degree from Marylhurst University.
Matthes’ office will be located in Ceres Hall.
