Seven members of the NDSU horse show team competed at the regional competition in River Falls, Wis., on Feb. 28.
Janelle Lanoue, a sophomore from Alexandria, Minn.; Shannon Voges, a sophomore from Courtland, Minn.; and Jackie Eldredge, a freshman from Casselton, N.D., took first place in their divisions. Jordan Schultz, a freshman from Eckerty, Ind., and Chelsea Sazama, a freshman from Perham, Minn., received second in their divisions.
Other team members who competed in the regional competition include Carley Eddy, a sophomore from Garfield, Minn., and Catie Vieths, a sophomore from Miesville, Minn.
The five members receiving first and second place will travel to Findlay, Ohio, to compete in the semifinals March 21-22. They will compete against schools from throughout the United States.
Competitors must place in the top four of their divisions at semifinals to qualify for the national competition in Murfreesboro, Tenn., April 23-26.
