Student Health Service receives accreditation

NDSU Student Health Service has received a three-year accreditation. The Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care last month informed Patricia Dirk, director of Student Health Service, after a site survey in June.

“The Student Health Service received a three-year certificate of accreditation, which is the maximum awarded. It reflects the high quality of care being provided to the students of NDSU,” said Dirk.

“We believe our students deserve the best,” she said. “When you see our certificate of accreditation, you will know that an independent, not-for-profit organization has closely examined our facility and procedures. It means we as an organization care enough about our students to strive for the highest level of care possible.”

Student Health Service is a medical clinic and pharmacy offering integrated services to NDSU students. It provides a variety of services, including health promotion, education for prevention of disease and clinical treatment for illness. Its mission is to provide access to quality and effective healthcare.

This is the fourth successful accreditation for Student Health Service since 2007.
