The Society for Personality and Social Psychology has named Michael D. Robinson, NDSU professor of psychology, to the senior editorial team of the society’s flagship journal — the Personality and Social Psychology Bulletin.
Robinson will be a journal co-editor. He begins reviewing manuscripts on Jan. 1, 2017, and his term will end on Dec. 31, 2020.
He joins Christian Crandall, professor of psychology at the University of Kansas who is the incoming editor and co-editors Colin Wayne Leach, professor of psychology at the University of Connecticut, and Tessa West, associate professor of psychology at New York University.
Robinson’s research includes personality, cognition, emotion, self-regulation and social behavior. He has been an associate editor at a number of journals including Emotion, Journal of Personality and Journal of Personality and Social Psychology: Personality Processes and Individual Differences.
He joined the NDSU faculty in 2001. Robinson earned his bachelor’s degree at the University of California, Santa Cruz, and his doctorate in social psychology at the University California, Davis.
