NDSU offers administrative professionals day celebrations

NDSU Distance and Continuing Education will offer two Administrative Professionals Day Celebrations on Saturday, April 18, from 9:15 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Howard Johnson Inn and on Wednesday, April 22, from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the NDSU Distance and Continuing Education office, SGC Building, 1919 N. University Drive.

On April 18, Linda Schwartzwalter, organization development manager at MeritCare, will present “Personal Accountability.” She will examine accountability through the consequences of blame and being unaccountable. Participants will learn strategies that change behavior from blaming and victim mentality to accountable behavior. This event is co-sponsored by the International Association of Administrative Professionals and costs $15 for members and $25 for non-members. Registration is required.  

On April 22, Sherri Nordstrom Stastny, assistant professor of health, nutrition and exercise sciences, and Lady Wellness will present “Everyday Nutrition and Wellness.” The event will inform participants of foods that contain compounds associated with anti-aging, cancer prevention and heart health among other benefits. Presenters will offer everyday activities that help in creating and maintaining a healthy lifestyle. The “Everyday Nutrition and Wellness” event costs $25 for International Association of Administrative Professionals members and $35 for non-members. Registration is required.
