Three NDSU communicators were recognized for their work at the 2016 National Federation of Press Women conference in Wichita, Kansas.
Receiving awards were:
• Becky Koch, director of Agriculture Communication – first place in the magapapers/tabloids category for the Ag Mag magazine about agriculture for North Dakota’s third-, fourth- and fifth-graders
• Carol Renner, communication specialist in the College of Health Professions dean’s office – first place in the single news or feature release category for an article about biological sciences research on circadian rhythms that control internal body clocks
• Ellen Crawford, information specialist in Agriculture Communication – third place in the specialty articles (agriculture, agribusiness or aquaculture) category for articles on the starter flock program, a joint effort by the NDSU Extension Service and North Dakota Lamb and Wool Producers Association, and NDSU Extension’s Design Your Succession Plan program.
