NDSU has earned the 2017 “Military Friendly School” designation by Victory Media, publisher of G.I. Jobs, STEM Jobs and Military Spouse.
First published in 2009, Military Friendly Schools is a resource for veterans. Each year, the list is provided to service members and their families, helping them to make choices about an education or training needed to pursue a civilian career.
“We are excited that NDSU has been designated a ‘Military Friendly School,’” said Scott Fuller, NDSU military and veterans service representative. “I’m not surprised at all, as our office collaborates closely with the Office of Admission, Student Success Programs, Customer Account Services, Registration and Records, faculty and advisors to ensure our students receive the very best service they deserve. Campuswide, I see the commitment to our students.”
Institutions were evaluated using both public data sources and responses from Victory Media’s proprietary survey. More than 1,700 schools participated in the 2017 survey and 1,273 were awarded with the designation.
Final ratings were determined by combining survey scores with assessment of the institution’s ability to meet thresholds for: Student Retention, Graduation, Job Placement, Loan Repayment, Persistence (Degree Advancement or Transfer) and Loan Default rates.
As a student-focused, land-grant, research university, we serve our citizens.
