Joe Mocnik starts as NDSU’s dean of libraries Jan. 30.
Mocnik most recently was director of university library and professor at Georgia College and State University, Milledgeville, Georgia. He began working there in 2012.
He previously was director of libraries and professor at Southern Adventist University, director of library services and associate professor at Mount Aloysius College, doctoral fellow at Bowling Green State University and director of the multimedia center at Andrews University.
Mocnik earned his bachelor’s degree in humanities at Newbold College in the United Kingdom, master’s degree in library and information studies at the University of London and doctorate in history from Bowling Green State University.
