NDSU animal sciences graduate students specializing in meat science will have a strong student leadership presence at the American Meat Science Association Reciprocal Meat Conference June 21-24 in Rogers, Ark.
Noah Hall, originally from Berthold, N.D., and Ashley Lepper, originally from Genoa, Ohio, have served on the 2008-09 American Meat Science Association Student Board of Directors. Hall is the Midwest director and Lepper serves as a director-at-large.
The 2009-10 Student Board of Directors will assume their duties at the conference. Lepper will step in as Midwest director and Erin Harris, originally from Morris, Minn., will be the director-at-large.
The American Meat Science Association student membership is a global community of peers that creates opportunities within the animal and food industries for fostering professional development, cultivating leadership, promoting camaraderie and perpetuating knowledge.
Animal sciences faculty Kim Vonnahme and Eric Berg are the students’ advisers.
