Fred Hudson has joined the NDSU Research and Creative Activity staff as communications manager.
Hudson has nearly 30 years of experience working in the Fargo-Moorhead area. After earning his bachelor’s degree in English from Minnesota State University Moorhead, he became an early member of the Great Plains Software/Microsoft team and worked in various roles at the company, including speech writing, public relations, communications, and event and video production.
Hudson also helped develop and market digital products at Forum Communications, managed communications and social media at Ulteig Engineer, and led marketing and communications teams at RDO Equipment Co.
Hudson is responsible for the development and delivery of communications focusing on the NDSU research and creative activity community. He will play an active role in engaging internal and external audiences, and he will work collaboratively with the NDSU University Relations to advance the university’s messaging.
