Two NDSU alumnae have been named in Prairie Business magazine’s list of “Top 25 Women in Business -2018.” Jennifer (Wenko) Hanley, BS’98, civil engineering, and Liza (Adams) McLean, BS ’08, business administration, were among the honorees.
In its March issue, the magazine saluted and congratulated the women, “all of whom are leaders in their communities and in their careers.”
Hanley is the technical manager at Ulteig Engineers Inc., Fargo, where she is responsible for leading the firm’s transportation operations in North Dakota and Minnesota. She has served as president of the F-M Engineers Club and is a board member for Fargo Junior Achievement of the Upper Midwest. She is a licensed professional engineer in North Dakota, South Dakota, Minnesota and Montana.
McLean is the co-owner of Smiling Moose Deli franchises with business partner Nathan Everson. The company has more than 100 employees at seven locations. She is a franchisee of Smiling Moose Deli in Grand Forks, Watford City and Williston, North Dakota; Eau Claire, Wisconsin; and Dunn Brothers Coffee in Bismarck, North Dakota. She served on the board of Mon-Dak United Way and is an Evolve board member in Grand Forks, North Dakota.
