Jodi Askew and Mary Sivertson, NDSU Bookstore managers, presented at CAMEX, campus retailing’s largest educational conference and buying expo, held in Dallas earlier this month.
Their presentation, “It Takes Two – Buyer/Vendor Relationships,” addressed how buyers can best prepare for meetings with vendors. Topics included retail dollars, sell-through and margins.
Kim Anvinson, bookstore director, also presented at CAMEX in a session titled, "Retail Math," as a part of a larger technology buyers institute. In her session, Anvinson discussed developing and enhancing skills in risk tolerance, category management, cross-selling techniques and benchmarking.
