NDSU music faculty Robert Jones, baritone, and Andrew Froelich, piano, will present “Death, Wine and Don Quixote” on Thursday, Oct. 1, at 7:30 p.m. in Beckwith Recital Hall. The recital is free and open to the public.
Jones and Froelich will perform pieces featuring death, wine or Don Quixote, including "Kaddisch" from "Deux Mélodies Hebraïques" by Maurice Ravel, "Three Chinese Wine Songs" by Richard Cumming and "Chansons de Don Quichotte" by Jacques Ibert. The recital also will feature "Four Chinese Prose Poems," written by Froelich.
The recital also will be presented at Dickinson State University on Tuesday, Oct. 6, and at Black Hills State University in Spearfish, S.D., on Thursday, Oct. 8.
