NDSU College of Business student Casondra Rutschke was recognized at the Phi Beta Lambda National Leadership Conference’s Awards of Excellence program June 26.
The awards ceremony was held in conjunction with the PBL National Leadership Conference held June 23-26 in Baltimore. The event attracted more than 1,800 students, who enhanced their business skills, expanded networks and participated in 60 business-related competitions.
Rutschke competed in the Future Business Executive and Impromptu Speaking competitions, earning fourth and eighth place finishes.
She also was recognized as the North Dakota PBL Who’s Who Award recipient, one of the organizations highest awards, recognizing her dedication to the association on the local, state and national levels.
“PBL has given me the opportunity to meet some of our nation’s best students, while giving me the leadership skills and industry knowledge that will help me be successful in my future career,” said Rutschke, who isa junior majoring in business administration and management from Zeeland, North Dakota.
Future Business Leaders of America-Phi Beta Lambda Inc. is considered the premier student business organization. It has about 250,000 members and advisers in more than 6,500 middle school, high school and college chapters worldwide.
