Tim Flakoll, Tri-College University provost, has been selected to serve on the executive committee of the Midwestern Higher Education Compact. He joins North Dakota Chancellor Bill Goetz and Minnesota Chancellor James McCormick, who also serve on the executive committee.
Flakoll has served as a commissioner for Midwestern Higher Education Compact since 1999 when North Dakota became a member of the organization. Midwestern Higher Education Compact is comprised of 12 states and the organization’s goal is to advance education through cooperation.
Flakoll also was recently selected as one of 42 people from across the United States to participate in the Global Education Competitiveness Summit held at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C. Flakoll, along with national and world education leaders, developed strategies to assess and strengthen state education systems throughout America.
