Jeff Jacobs, director of Financial Aid and Scholarships, was inducted into the Hall of Fame of the Rocky Mountain Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators.
The regional professional association is currently holding its 50th anniversary conference, titled “North of Normal,” in Fargo. Jacobs was recognized during an awards dinner Oct. 9
The organization recognizes individuals who have provided voluntary service or made significant contributions toward the aims and ideals of the financial aid profession in the region. The Hall of Fame award, the group’s highest honor, is given to persons who have contributed significantly to the financial aid profession over a sustained period of years.
“I am honored and humbled to receive this award for doing something I love,” Jacobs said “One doesn’t receive this type of recognition without the support of their supervisor and colleagues. I would like to thank Laura Oster-Aaland and the Financial Aid and Scholarships staff for their support and encouragement.”
Jacobs joined NDSU in 2014 after previously holding financial aid positions at Bismarck State College, University of Mary, Minot State University and Valley City State University.
The association includes member institutions from Colorado, Kansas, Montana, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota, Utah and Wyoming.
